The Ceramic Flowers Story – how a dream became an everlasting meadow
As a child, I spent long afternoons with my grandmother in flower-filled meadows. She showed me the daisies, the poppies, and the thousand shades of wildflowers. From her I learned to truly love flowers – and that every single bloom carries a story within.
Years later, when I started working with ceramics, I wondered how I could bring those childhood memories back to life. The ceramic flower itself was not a new idea – but creating them in such abundance, in such variety, presenting a whole stand like a meadow, that was something new. That is how the world was born in which the beauty of my grandmother’s beloved meadows never fades.
The first attempts – and the moment everything changed
The story of The Ceramic Flowers began in a small family workshop. At first, we made glazed, fired objects for everyday use and for decoration – pitchers, plates, figurines. These pieces found homes with many people, yet something was always missing. We searched for a form that was close to our hearts, something not only beautiful but also unique and lasting.
In 2013, I tried the first flowers: roses, tulips, daisies. What started as a simple experiment quickly became much more. I still remember the first time I presented a full ceramic flower stand at a fair. The curiosity was overwhelming, and long lines formed in front of us. In that moment, I knew this was not just a product, but a wonder – a magical world where flowers never fade.

The first shop and milestones
The Ceramic Flowers soon reached many hearts, and the love for our handmade ceramic flowers grew quickly.
- In 2014, I opened my first shop in the heart of Budapest, on Károly Boulevard. It is still the beating heart of The Ceramic Flowers today.
- Shortly after, the webshop was launched, so that people who couldn’t visit us in person could also find our flowers.
- On social media, nearly 100,000 people now follow my work – something I still find unbelievable.

The world of The Ceramic Flowers
What began as a family dream has now grown internationally. I am proud that our flowers are available through retailers in 25 countries – from small German towns and Austrian gift shops to Japan, where craftsmanship is especially respected.
Yet every single piece still carries the same excitement and memory of those childhood days, standing in the meadow with my grandmother, searching for beauty among the daisies.
What makes ceramic flowers unique?
For me, every ceramic flower is a small miracle. Each one is shaped and painted by hand, and no two are the same – just as in nature, no two flowers are identical.
We combined ceramics with the art of floristry, creating special compositions: table decorations, wreaths, flower walls. These are not only decorations, but stories – everlasting memories that brighten homes.

Fairs and encounters
Fairs hold a special place in my heart. There I can meet people face to face, see the surprised expressions when they realize what they see is not real flowers – but ceramic.
The Christmas Fair at Vörösmarty Square is an unforgettable highlight every year. It is there I feel most strongly that my work connects people and brings smiles to faces.
The present and the future
Today I make more than 70 types of flowers, from daisies to tulips to orchids. With my team, we ensure that every single piece is handmade with care and attention.
The Ceramic Flowers stands on three pillars:
- our shop and fairs in Budapest and across Europe,
- our webshop, available worldwide,
- and our retailers, who help bring our ceramic flowers into more and more homes.
Looking back at the past 35 years, it feels almost unbelievable how far we’ve come. From a small workshop with a single kiln to flowers loved across the world. And yet, every day, when we form a new petal, I feel the same excitement as at the beginning.
The Ceramic Flowers is not just a family business. It is a shared story – your story too. Every flower you take home carries a piece of this tale. A reminder that beauty never fades when it is made with heart and soul.
